Ladson, SC (February 28, 2024) – The Charleston County coroner’s office identified the victim who lost their life in the motor vehicle accident on Wednesday evening as 37-year-old John Daniels from New Jersey.
Preliminary reports surrounding the accident show that at around 930 p.m. on February 21, a motor vehicle accident involving a North Charleston Police Department cruiser occurred on Highway 78 in the Ladson area. One person involved in the accident, identified as Daniels, was severely injured. He was rushed to Trident Medical Center for emergency treatment. Authorities confirmed that he passed away from his injuries after arriving. No other injuries were reported in the accident. At this time, investigations into the crash are ongoing.
