Ladson, SC (June 29, 2024) – Emergency crews were informed that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash in Charleston County that claimed the life of one person. The victim was later identified as 20-year-old Juan Garcia.

The motor vehicle collision took place just before one p.m. on Wednesday, June 26. Official reports indicate that a total of two vehicles collided on Highway 78. Investigations determined that one of the vehicles was traveling on Wisteria Street during the afternoon hours. As the vehicle attempted to turn left onto Highway 78, it collided with the second vehicle. The impact of the crash caused one of the vehicles to overturn.
