Madison, GA (May 5, 2024) – Emergency crews confirmed that a woman lost her life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred early Tuesday evening, April 30. The collision took place just before 5:00 p.m.
Official reports indicate that a Georgia State Patrol trooper attempted to stop a Chevrolet Cruze on Interstate 20 due to an expired registration. Additionally, the vehicle had no valid insurance. As the trooper attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver fled the scene. After a short distance, the vehicle went into the center of the roadway and collided with a cable barrier before overturning multiple times. The driver of the vehicle accident and attempted to flee the scene. A passenger in the vehicle suffered fatal injuries after being ejected from the vehicle. The victim, identified as 19-year-old Kaniyah Milhouse, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was taken into police custody. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
