Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Georgia
Every day, our state witnesses a significant number of fatal collisions on our roadways. Despite their frequent occurrence, preparing for the sudden and unexpected impact these incidents bring to a family is an impossible task. Unfortunately, a significant number of these fatal collisions result from driver negligence.
If you have lost a loved one due to the reckless actions of another motorist, it is crucial for your family to seek legal representation as soon as possible from a dedicated wrongful death lawyer. Your family may be entitled to recover compensation for various losses and damages, including:
- Loss of companionship or consortium: This can include the loss of companionship, loss of emotional support, and other losses suffered by a spouse after losing their loved one.
- Medical expenses: These expenses cover the cost of medical treatments incurred between the time of the accident and the passing of your loved one.
- Funeral and burial costs: These costs can include anything related to funeral services and burial expenses.
- Lost wages and future earnings: This could include any of the lost wages or future earnings that a person would have made had they survived their injuries.
- Pain and suffering: This includes physical and emotional suffering experienced by the surviving family members. This type of damage is often difficult to calculate. For this reason, it is vital to have strong evidence.
Securing legal representation quickly offers your family the best opportunity to attain the maximum possible compensation for these and other damages. A Georgia wrongful death lawyer can guide you in seeking justice and holding the negligent party accountable for the loss of your loved one.
