Marlboro Co., SC (March 16, 2024) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that a pedestrian died as a result of an automobile accident that occurred late Thursday evening, March 14. Highway Patrol troopers were called to the scene of the accident at around 1010 p.m.
According to official reports, a 2010 Jeep SUV was traveling on Highway nine when he struck a pedestrian near Dupre Road. The pedestrian was severely hurt in the accident. Despite medical efforts rendered by paramedics, the victim died from their injuries. The driver of the Jeep was not injured and remained at the scene to speak with law enforcement. Investigations into the crash are underway.
