Fatal Car Accidents in North Carolina
Every day, fatal accidents take place to have a devastating impact on the lives of families. Unfortunately, many of the fatal collisions reported right here in our state are preventable. Careless and reckless actions continue to contribute to a significant portion of the vehicle collisions that occur on our roads. Some of the most common causes of these accidents include:
- Distractions: Maintaining focus on the road is crucial for drivers. They should stay alert and aware of their surroundings. Unfortunately, fatal collisions frequently occur due to drivers texting, engaging in conversations, and even eating while behind the wheel.
- Speeding: Every road in our state has a designated speed limit designed to provide safe travel guidelines. Regrettably, drivers often surpass these limits, leading to devastating collisions.
- Failing to Yield: Despite existing laws allowing vehicles with the right-of-way to proceed, we still witness instances where drivers neglect this, resulting in reckless collisions with innocent people and tragic loss of lives.
