Fatal Auto Accidents in Georgia
Over 100 fatal collisions are reported every month in Georgia. Many of these accidents are preventable. Leading factors in fatal collisions include:
- Distracted driving: When drivers are texting or engaging in other distracting behaviors while behind the wheel, it can have devastating consequences.
- Driving under the influence (DUI): When drivers are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, they may not be able to operate their vehicle in a safe manner. Impairment impacts their judgment and coordination, which can lead to devastating collisions.
- Speeding: When drivers travel too fast, they increase the risk of losing control of their vehicle and crashing into others nearby.
- Reckless driving: When drivers are reckless or negligent, they can cause devastating collisions. Unfortunately, we see many fatal collisions occur as a result of tailgating, switching lanes recklessly, and other reckless actions on our roads.
