Newberry Co., SC (December 2, 2023) – Emergency officials were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Newberry County and claimed one person’s life. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and firefighters were called to the site of the crash at around 7:50 p.m. on November 27.
According to local news sources, a collision involving a 1997 Ford pickup truck occurred on Highway 34. The incident resulted in the Ford going off the roadway and striking a ditch. The pickup truck then overturned.
One person involved in the crash was severely hurt. The victim was airlifted to an area hospital. Authorities confirmed that the victim later died from their injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
