North Charleston, SC (February 13, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Sunday claimed the lives of two people. The incident was reported to law enforcement at approximately 5:30 p.m. on February 11.
According to the North Charleston Police Department, a motor vehicle accident involving a tow truck and a pedestrian occurred on the westbound side of Interstate 526. The incident caused moderate delays near Leeds Avenue. Emergency crews responded and closed off the roadway. Emergency medical services tended to the injured victims. One person was pronounced deceased while at the scene. The North Charleston Police Department is currently conducting a crash investigation.
