Oconee Co., GA (March 31, 2024) – The Oconee County Coroner’s Office confirmed that 43-year-old Salena Miller lost her life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred on Thursday evening, March 28. The accident occurred at around 655 p.m.
According to official reports, John Miller was driving a Dodge pickup truck on Georgia Highway 53 with his wife, Salena Miller. As the vehicle proceeded through the area near Snows Mill Road, it collided with a Ford pickup truck, which was traveling eastbound on the highway. Transported by ambulance to Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment. A 13-year-old involved in the accident was severely injured. The victim was airlifted and flung by helicopter to Egleston Children’s Hospital for emergency treatment of serious injuries. Salena Miller was pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries. Two people in the Ford were also injured in the accident and transported to Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center for treatment. At this time, investigations into the accident are underway.
