Pembroke, NC (February 9, 2024) – The North Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that 33-year-old Sharonda Locklear lost her life as a result of a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred on Tuesday evening in Robson County. The incident occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m. on February 6.
According to law enforcement reports, Locklear was walking on the southbound side of Highway 710 when she was struck by a vehicle. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the woman with severe injuries near Hezekiah Road. Locklear was rushed to an area hospital, where she passed away from her injuries on Wednesday, February 7. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
