Perry, GA (October 23, 2023) – On Sunday afternoon, the police and firefighters out of Perry responded to the scene of a major accident that claimed one person’s life.
The accident occurred at around 2:00 p.m. on October 22.
According to local law enforcement, a collision took place on Perry Parkway near the intersection of Houston Lake Road during the afternoon hours. The incident caused officials to shut down a portion of the road while providing assistance.
One person involved in the crash, identified as 87-year-old Willie Curry of Hopkinsville, Georgia, suffered severe injuries. He was transported to Houston Healthcare by EMS, where he passed away from his injuries.
The incident is being investigated by law enforcement.
