Rockingham Co., NC (April 20, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident reported in Rockingham County on Saturday claimed one person’s life. Authorities were called to the scene of the accident at around 515 p.m.
Official reports indicate that 51-year-old Richard Angelo Enoch was driving southbound on East Morehead Street in a 2020 Dodge Ram 5500 dump truck. At the same time, 44-year-old Daniel Vasquez was driving a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on the roadway. For reasons unknown, the vehicles collided near US Highway 158. Vazquez was severely injured as a result of the crash. He was transported to Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, where he later passed away from his injuries. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
