Rowan Co., NC (November 27, 2023) – A fatal accident reported in Rowan County claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred during the early morning hours on Friday, November 24.
At around 4:50 a.m., emergency officials were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 85. According to Rowan County Emergency Services, a sideswipe collision between two vehicles occurred on Interstate 85. The force of the collision caused the second vehicle to careen into a fire truck.
One person involved in the crash was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding officers. No other injuries were reported as a result of this collision. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
