Smyrna, GA (October 23, 2023) – A crash reported in the Smyrna area on Friday claimed one person’s life while leaving two others hurt. The incident occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on October 20.
According to reports from the Marietta Fire Department and Smyrna Police Department, a collision occurred on Windy Hill Road during the evening hours. The police and firefighters shut down the roadway between Cobb Parkway and Village Parkway while assisting.
One person was trapped inside their car and had to be extricated by firefighters.
One man involved in the crash sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on site. Two other victims were critically injured and rushed by ambulance to Kennestone Hospital for emergency care.
The police department is actively investigating the incident.
