Spartanburg Co. SC (May 13, 2024) – A young child lost their life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred in Spartanburg County. The crash took place on Saturday, May 11.
Reports from the South Carolina Highway Patrol show that at around 8:05 p.m., a Ford F-150 pickup truck collided with a Mazda 6. The crash caused Mazda to strike a Dodge Ram pickup truck. The incident blocked multiple lanes of the roadway near mile marker 82. The driver of the Ford was injured in the accident and transported to a local hospital. Four people in the Mazda sustained injuries. All four victims were transported by EMS to local medical facilities. A fifth victim involved in the crash was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as an 11-year-old girl. The accident is being investigated.
