Spartanburg, SC (March 4, 2024) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that two people died in a multi-vehicle accident reported on Sunday morning in Spartanburg County. Calls for assistance came in at around 2:00 a.m. on March 3.
According to area law enforcement, a total of seven vehicles collided on Interstate 85 near mile marker 60. Authorities responded to the scene and blocked off several lanes in the area near the exit for South Carolina Highway 101 as emergency crews worked to remove the involved vehicles. Medical personnel responded to the scene to care for injured victims. Two people involved in the accident ended up passing away as a result of the injuries they suffered. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
