There is usually a fault party and a victim in a two-vehicle collision. The fault party is the one whose negligent actions caused the occurrence, while the victim is the person who suffers as a result of the act. But this doesn’t mean that the at-fault driver doesn’t sustain injuries or vehicle damage.
However, the law is on the victim’s side, and as such, the negligent party will compensate the victim irrespective of their personal losses or injuries. Crash victims generally receive economic and non-economic damages. The two cover their lost wages, medical expenses, physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, etc.
