Warm Springs, GA (June 28, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Warm Springs area over the weekend claimed one person’s life. The crash took place during the evening hours on Saturday, June 22.
At around 8:45 p.m., 34-year-old Rick Harris was riding a dirt bike west on Lonnie Road. As the vehicle passed through the area near Georgia State Route 85 Alternate, it was struck by a Ford Expedition, which was driven by a law enforcement officer. Harris was severely hurt in the crash. He was rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. Authorities confirmed that he died after arriving. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
