Wilson’s Mills, NC (December 14, 2023) – Emergency crews were called to the scene of an automobile accident in the Wilson’s Mills area that claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred just before 2:40 p.m. on Monday, December 11.
According to reports provided by the Wilson’s Mills Police Department, a dump truck was traveling westbound on US Highway 70 West when it collided with a Chevrolet Express Van near Exit 326. Witnesses to the accident stated that the dump truck began to merge into the right lane when the collision occurred. The force of the accident sent the van off the side of the roadway, where it overturned and ejected the driver. The driver was rushed to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, where they died from their injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
