Fatal Motorcycle Accidents in North Carolina
Instances where innocent lives are lost on our roadways are unfortunately too common. Annually, more than 1700 people lose their lives due to collisions in our state, many of which result from the negligence of other drivers. Some leading factors include:
- Running Stop Signs: When motorists disregard stop signs at intersections, they are prone to crashing into other vehicles with the right of way, often resulting in devastating rollovers.
- Street Racing: Racing other vehicles on the road may prevent drivers from stopping in time to avoid serious collisions, and it heightens the risk of losing control of their vehicle.
- Vehicle Defects: Defective auto parts can lead to severe or fatal accidents, commonly seen in incidents involving brake failures, tire blowouts, or accelerator jams.
- Wrong-Way Driving: Drivers traveling in the wrong direction increase the likelihood of severe head-on collisions, especially when vehicles are moving at high speeds.
After the loss of a loved one in a fatal collision, taking legal action becomes crucial. Financial compensation can never fully compensate for the pain caused by a wrongful death, but seeking guidance from a skilled North Carolina wrongful death lawyer can offer the support and resources needed for healing and moving forward. Holding those responsible accountable and preserving your rights, an experienced attorney can provide a sense of closure during this devastating time.
