Easley, SC (December 24, 2023) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that 30-year-old Kerry Hamilton of Easley, South Carolina, lost her life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred on Thursday evening in Pickens County. Calls for assistance came in at around 9:45 p.m. on December 21.
According to local law enforcement, a 2005 Ford F150 pickup truck was traveling on the northbound side of South Carolina Highway 183 during the evening hours. As the vehicle proceeded through the area of Albatross Road, it rear-ended a 2024 moped. The force of the collision caused the moped to overturn. The driver of the vehicle was injured in the accident and rushed to an area hospital. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Hamilton, was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
