Greenville, SC (February 13, 2024) – A driver lost their life as a result of a fatal crash that took place on Monday in Greenville County. Just after midnight on February 12, the South Carolina Highway Patrol was notified that they were needed at the scene of a major collision on Interstate 85.
Crash reports indicate that a northbound side of the highway was blocked as a result of a motor vehicle accident involving a minivan and a car near mile marker 41. Authorities responded to the scene and immediately secured the road. One person involved in the accident, identified as a driver, was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced dead while on site. Five people in the van were transported to area hospitals for emergency medical treatment of injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
