Mount Pleasant, SC (April 16, 2024) – The Mount Pleasant Police Department confirmed that one person died as a result of a fatal accident reported on Saturday morning, April 13.
At around 5:00 a.m., an automobile accident occurred on Billy Swails Boulevard. Emergency officials responded to the scene and immediately closed off a portion of the roadway. One person involved in the accident was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. Two additional victims were injured. Both victims were rendered aid on-site and transported to area hospitals. At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway with the Mount Pleasant Police Department’s Traffic Division.
