Gastonia, SC (February 12, 2024) – The Gastonia Police Department confirmed that one person lost their life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred during the evening hours on Saturday, February 10.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., a pedestrian was walking on US Highway 321. As the pedestrian proceeded through the intersection near Bulb Avenue, they were struck by a vehicle. The police responded to the scene and closed down the roadway between Bulb Avenue and C. Grier Beam Boulevard. The pedestrian was severely hurt as a result of the crash. Authorities pronounced the victim deceased on site. No other injuries were reported. The incident is currently under investigation.
