Greenville Co., SC (December 11, 2023) – A fatal accident reported in Greenville County on Sunday morning claimed the lives of three victims. At around 5:15 a.m. on December 10, the South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a major accident on Interstate 85.
Preliminary investigations show that four vehicles collided on the southbound side of the roadway near mile marker 51. The incident blocked several lanes of the roadway, causing delays in the area. The Highway Patrol troopers and firefighters responded to the scene to provide assistance.
A total of three victims, identified as one man and two women, sustained fatal injuries. The victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. Additional victims were provided medical treatment on-site before being transported to area hospitals. At this time, investigations are underway.
