Greer, SC (December 24, 2023) – On December 19, the South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that took place in Spartanburg County. The accident occurred just before 9:30 p.m.
According to reports from law enforcement, an SUV was heading southbound on South Carolina Highway 101 during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, it collided head-on with a pickup truck, which was traveling in the opposite direction. The drivers of both vehicles sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified one of the involved drivers as 34-year-old Gilberto Perez Ramos. The second driver was identified as 37-year-old Amber Colette Hendrix. At this time, investigations into the crash are ongoing.
