Lee Co., SC (December 2, 2023) – A fatal bus crash reported in Lee County claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred at around 4:10 p.m. on November 30. According to reports provided by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2018 Thomas bus and a 2007 Honda Accord collided on US Highway 401 near Zena Lane.
The incident blocked multiple lanes of the roadway, which is approximately 9 miles south of Bishopville. Authorities arrived at the scene and shut down the roadway. One person involved in the crash sustained fatal injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased on-site. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by law enforcement.
