Madison, SC (January 1, 2024) – A driver lost their life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred in Oconee County on Sunday afternoon, December 31. Calls for assistance came in at approximately 4:30 p.m. regarding an automobile accident on Cleveland Pike Road.
According to official reports, an automobile accident took place on the roadway in the area near Westminster. The impact of the crash caused one of the vehicles to go off the roadway, where it collided with the ditch. The driver of the vehicle was ejected after the vehicle overturned. The driver of the vehicle, identified as a 39-year-old man from Westminster, South Carolina, incurred fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased by the County coroner while on site. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
