Pacolet, SC (June 1, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Union County claimed one person’s life. The collision was reported to law enforcement at around 1:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 30.

Official reports indicate that two vehicles collided head-on while traveling on Jerusalem Road. The involved vehicles, a 2011 Honda sedan and a 2015 Chevrolet sedan, both came to rest on the roadway near Countryside Drive. The driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced deceased while at the scene. Authorities have not yet publicly identified the victim. The Honda driver was injured as a result of the crash. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
