Robbins, NC (January 25, 2024) – The North Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that one person lost their life as a result of an automobile accident that took place on Saturday afternoon. The crash occurred just before 1:30 p.m. on January 20.
According to official reports, a Chevrolet pickup truck was involved in a collision on Spies Road in the area near Talc Mine Road. The impact of the crash caused the pickup truck to overturn. Multiple people were trapped inside the vehicle. Two of the victims were removed and flown into a nearby trauma center by a medical helicopter for emergency treatment. One person, who was in the backseat of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim was later identified as Orlando Hernandez Diaz. At this time, the incident is being investigated by the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
