Kill Devil Hills, NC (June 16, 2024) – A woman from the Williamsburg area has lost her life in a motor vehicle accident reported on Friday morning in Kill Devil Hills. The incident took place at around 1:10 a.m.
According to area news sources, 20-year-old Ashley Elizabeth Williams was running across US Highway 158 during the morning hours. For unknown reasons, she was struck by a 2021 Jeep Wrangler, which was traveling south on the roadway. Williams was severely hurt in the crash, and despite medical efforts, she passed away from her injuries. No other injuries were reported in the accident. The Kill Devil Hills Police Department is currently investigating the accident.
