Bath, NC (November 9, 2023) – The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission confirmed that a man and woman lost their lives as a result of a boat accident that occurred in Bath.
Investigation surrounding the incident confirmed that Charles Bailey and Suzanne Bailey left during the afternoon hours on November 4, traveling from their home in Bath on their boat to visit family in the Washington area.
For unknown reasons, they were involved in a crash with their 2022 34-foot Fountain powerboat at around 10:15 p.m. The Baileys suffered fatal injuries in the accident and were both pronounced deceased.
At this time, investigations surrounding the boat accident are underway.
