Caldwell Co., NC (February 16, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident reported early Thursday morning in Caldwell County claimed one person’s life. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the crash at approximately 4:00 a.m. on February 15.
Official reports indicate that a motor vehicle accident involving a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville occurred on Burns Road. Authorities arrived at the scene and closed off the roadway near Oran Yount Lane. Emergency medical services responded to the crash site to care for those harmed. Authorities confirmed that one person involved in the accident, identified as 64-year-old Stanley Jeffery Burns of Granite Falls, North Carolina, was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
