Charleston, SC (October 24, 2023) – A major collision reported in the Charleston area claimed at least one person’s life. The accident was reported at around 9:10 a.m. on October 24.
Reports provided by the Charleston Police Department show that a collision took place on Interstate 526, blocking multiple westbound lanes of the road. Authorities responded to the scene and shut down the roadway near the Don Holt Bridge.
Authorities confirmed that at least one person was fatally injured in the accident. The victim was pronounced deceased on-site at approximately 9:30 a.m.
