Charleston, SC (November 14, 2023) – A 67-year-old pedestrian died as a result of a fatal collision reported in the Charleston area. At around 9:0 p.m. on November 10, calls for assistance came in regarding a crash that occurred on Interstate 26.
Preliminary reports show that a pedestrian was struck by a 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck on the westbound side of Interstate 26 near mile marker 209. The pedestrian suffered severe injuries due to the crash
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office confirmed the pedestrian’s name was Theodore Ward Walker Jr. Walker was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash is actively under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
