Charlotte, NC (January 18, 2024) – A North Mecklenburg High School lost his life as a result of an automobile accident that took place in Charlotte on Wednesday, January 17. The accident was reported to law enforcement during the evening hours.
Local authorities reported that a 1999 Ford Escort was involved in a collision with a 2012 BMW 335i and a 2010 Infiniti G35 on East WT Harrison Boulevard in the area between Brook Canyon Drive and Laura Drive. The force of the collision caused the Ford to go off the roadway and strike a tree. The incident prompted authorities to close down the roadway for several hours as they worked to clear the scene. Emergency services responded to the site of the crash. One person involved in the incident, identified as a 17-year-old student, was pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
