Chester Co., SC (April 18, 2024) – One person died as a result of a motor vehicle accident reported on Tuesday afternoon in Chester County. The incident occurred at around 12:30 p.m. on April 16.
According to area law enforcement, a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling northbound on Interstate 77. For reasons unknown, it collided with a tractor-trailer near mile marker 33. The incident left the pickup truck severely damaged. The driver of the pickup truck, who has not been publicly identified, was fatally injured. They were pronounced deceased on-site. No other injuries were reported. The crash is currently being investigated.
