Elizabeth City, NC (December 2, 2023) – The Elizabeth City Police Department confirmed that one man lost his life as a result of a car crash that occurred on Friday morning in Elizabeth City. The incident occurred at around 7:30 a.m. on December 1.
According to reports from the ECPD, a collision occurred on Halstead Boulevard near Rich Boulevard. Authorities arrived at the scene and located a man unconscious and unresponsive on the side of the road. The Pasquotank-Camden County EMS attempted life-saving measures on the victim. However, he passed away from his injuries while at the scene. The victim was identified as 35-year-old Rodney Brooks. The crash is currently being investigated.
