Fayetteville, NC – Fire on Dasher Ln Takes One Life, Injures Three

Fayetteville, NC (February 22, 2024) – Emergency crews across Cumberland County were called to the scene of a fire incident that occurred on Monday evening, February 19, and claimed one child’s life.

Investigations show that a fire occurred in a single-wide mobile home in the 2500 block of Dasher Lane during the evening hours. Authorities rushed to the scene and began battling the blaze. Four people were in the home at the time of the fire. Firefighters assisted in removing the victims. Three of the family members were injured in the fire.

The two adult victims were transported to the University of North Carolina hospital, where they were admitted into the burn center. A 16-year-old female was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for emergency care. A 9-year-old boy sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
