Fayetteville, NC (May 31, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Fayetteville area claimed one woman’s life. The accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, May 29.
At around 1:30 p.m., a black Dodge Charger was traveling on Robeson Street when it collided with a Dodge Ram 5500 truck. The impact of the crash caused the charger to catch on fire, trapping a passenger inside. The victim, 25-year-old Jermeia Washington, was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of her injuries. The driver of the Dodge Charger, 24-year-old Natawn McIntyre, was transported to Chapel Hill Hospital with serious burn injuries. The driver and passenger in the Dodge Ram were both transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
