Fort Mill, SC (March 23, 2024) – A crossing guard who works near the Fort Mill Elementary School and Fort Mill Middle School lost their life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on Thursday, March 21.
According to official reports, just before 3:30 p.m., 61-year-old Stanley Brucker was working on Springfield Parkway, South Carolina 460, near the middle and elementary schools, when he was struck by a vehicle. Brucker was severely injured in the accident. He was rushed by ambulance to Piedmont Medical Center in Fort Mill for emergency treatment. Authorities confirmed that he passed away from his injuries after arriving. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
