Graham, NC (April 15, 2024) – A major motor vehicle accident reported in the Graham area early Thursday morning claimed one person’s life. The accident was reported to law enforcement at around 7:00 a.m. on April 11.
According to reports from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, 42-year-old Tommy Lynn Wilson was traveling on Boy Wood Road when his vehicle crossed over the center line and crashed head-on into a Chevrolet. Wilson and the driver of the Chevrolet, 86-year-old Nora Shelley, were both transported to the University of North Carolina Hospital for medical care. A passenger in one of the vehicles was severely injured. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where they died from their injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
