Greensboro, NC (December 25, 2023) – A pedestrian accident reported in the Greensboro area claimed the life of one person on Friday morning, December 22. The accident occurred just before 12:40 a.m.
Reports from the Greensboro Police Department indicate that a pedestrian was walking in the area of East Market Street and Durham Street during the early morning hours. For unknown reasons, a westbound vehicle struck the pedestrian, causing severe injuries. The pedestrian, identified as 29-year-old Jermaine Jones of Greensboro, North Carolina, was severely hurt due to the crash. He was rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. Authorities confirmed that Jones passed away from his injuries on Saturday, December 23. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
