Greenville Co., SC (May 3, 2024) – Authorities have confirmed that one person died as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, May 1. The collision was reported to law enforcement just after 12:45 p.m.
According to official reports, an SUV was traveling on Old Spartanburg Road. As the vehicle attempted to turn left onto Scottswood Road, it was struck by a car. The car then proceeded forward and collided with a second sedan. The driver of the sedan, identified as 60-year-old Robert McWhite, was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. One additional victim was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
