Greenwood Co., SC (February 27, 2024) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol has identified the victim who lost her life in a motor vehicle accident on Thursday in Greenwood County as 75-year-old Shirley Noahleen Berry.

Preliminary reports indicate that just before 6:00 p.m. on February 22, an automobile accident involving a truck and a sedan occurred on Bypass 25 Southeast. at the intersection of Burgess Drive. The pickup truck ran off the roadway and struck a ditch. The sedan traveled off the opposite side of the road and into a private driveway. The incident prompted authorities to close the intersection. One person involved in the accident, identified as Barry, was fatally injured. She was pronounced deceased by authorities. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
