Lee Co., GA (December 28, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Monday evening in Lee County claimed one person’s life. The Georgia State Patrol and local firefighters were called to the scene of the crash at approximately 820 p.m. on December 25.
Crash investigations indicate that a Chevrolet Colorado LT was heading eastbound on Georgia State Highway 520. For unknown reasons, it collided head-on with a Sienna. The driver of the Sienna, identified as 78-year-old Ravindrakumar C. Patel from Albany, Georgia, was severely injured in the crash. The victim was later pronounced deceased by authorities. The driver of the Colorado was injured and transported to Phoebe Putney for emergency care. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated by law enforcement.
