Lexington, SC – One Killed in Accident on Fish Hatchery Rd

Lexington, SC (January 25, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident was reported in the Lexington area on Tuesday evening, January 23. The South Carolina Highway Patrol was called to the scene at approximately 10:30 p.m.

Authorities confirmed that a 1991 Ford F150 pickup truck was traveling southbound on Fish Hatchery Road during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway near Patricia Drive. After going off the roadway, the vehicle overturned. The passenger in the vehicle was significantly injured. Despite medical efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Prisma Health Richland for emergency treatment of injuries. The crash is currently under investigation.
