Lexington, SC (May 21, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident involving a school bus claimed one person’s life. The collision was reported to authorities during the morning hours on Monday, May 20. The Lexington Police Department responded to assist.
Official reports indicate that a work van, a school bus, and a motorcycle collided in the 100 block of Industrial Drive. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway near Exit 55. One person involved in the accident was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. Two additional victims, including one child, were injured. Both victims were transported by ambulance to area hospitals for emergency medical care. At this time, the Lexington police department is investigating the crash.
