Macon, GA (April 19, 2024) – A fatal motorcycle accident reported in Benton County on Sunday claimed one man’s life. The incident occurred at around seven p.m. on April 14.
According to reports from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a motorcycle and a Chevrolet Malibu collided on Pio Nono Avenue near Sherry Drive. The motorcyclist, identified as 61-year-old Lorenso Poole, was severely injured in the crash. He was transported to Atrium Health Navicent for emergency medical care. Authorities confirmed that he passed away after arriving. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
